Orbis 0.1.0
Orbis is a desktop AI assistant for Windows with a HUD-style interface, made by NxtOrbis.
Important: this build needs ORION on your PC
This version talks only to ORION, an AI server that runs locally on the same computer at http://127.0.0.1:8765. It includes no cloud models and needs no API key.
If ORION is not running on your computer, Orbis cannot send or answer messages.
Downloads
- Installer (.exe) — installs Orbis on your PC and adds it to the Start menu.
- Portable (.zip) — runs without installing anything.
Both are the same build of Orbis 0.1.0.
What's in 0.1.0
- HUD interface: particle grid, system bar with live CPU load and clock, icon rail and glowing composer
- Replies rendered with Markdown, tables, syntax-highlighted code and LaTeX math
- Chat history with search, rename and delete; share a chat as Markdown
- Attach text and code files to a message
- Browser panel: open web pages beside your chat from the globe icon in the rail. Some websites don't allow being shown inside other apps and won't load there.
- Profile names, dark or light theme, visual-effects toggle and custom instructions
Voice input, image upload and web search aren't available yet; their buttons show a "coming soon" notice.
