Workbench 1.0.3
Auto updater
Workbench now automatically checks the public GitHub releases feed and keeps a sticky Update available button in the sidebar whenever a newer build is ready.
- Semantic version checks ignore invalid or older tags
- One click opens the latest signed release
- Update preferences stay out of the way when the app is current
Faster, cleaner Files
- Cached directory listings with filesystem-watch invalidation make repeat navigation much faster
- Favorite folders are saved and available from a quick-jump popup
- 007 Mode recursively gathers Markdown and PDF documents into a draggable dossier wall, skips hidden, gitignored and node_modules content, and renders tables, code blocks and polished document typography
- File dates moved into subtle hover tooltips, while the info panel is tighter and easier to scan
Better library and media views
- Persistent grid and visual-list layouts, item counts, project status filters and configurable columns up to eight
- Media filtering, sorting, pagination, fit-to-frame previews, hidden failed images and a saved grid-column count
- Paste a link directly into a project, use project favicons or local icons, and open every saved project link from one dialog
- Dot folders and Ruby gem caches are excluded from project discovery and cleaned from existing catalogs
More polish
- AI Portfolio adds screenshots, voice guidance, chat and generated portfolio output
- MCP servers can be hidden from Workbench without changing external agent configuration
- Refined Skills, MCP and plugin navigation plus a much subtler contribution-grid pulse
