Paperus v1.3.0 — Email (beta), Calendar, MCP

A desktop feature drop on top of the Paperus rebrand. Universal (Apple Silicon + Intel), signed & notarized by Apple, macOS 11+.

New

Email client (beta). Connect IMAP/SMTP accounts (app-passwords sealed locally with macOS safeStorage). Newest-first sync across all standard folders (Inbox / Sent / Drafts / Junk / Trash / Archive), a unified All inboxes view, an ongoing new-mail poller, and an AI-assisted compose/triage flow driven by the Brain. Folded into the single app sidebar. Flagged Beta — expect rough edges as it stabilizes.
Calendar (CalDAV). Connect iCloud, Fastmail, or any generic CalDAV server with an app-password. Recurring events expand correctly (RRULE); connected calendars show in the sidebar.
MCP. A main-process Model Context Protocol manager — register external tool servers and scope them per agent, gated by a three-mode write-approval system.
React-island surfaces (@medusajs/ui) hosting Email / Calendar / Tasks / Inbox, plus a one-sidebar information-architecture reshuffle, dark theme, daily notes, and graph view.

Notes

Local-first and end-to-end encrypted as always — email/calendar credentials never leave your machine in plaintext, and notes still sync peer-to-peer with no cloud lock-in.
Auto-update: existing installs update in place from the signed channel.
