• Redesigned the phone experience across Browse, Discover, groups, favourites, settings and playback.
• Added magenta-accented light and dark themes, with a saved system/light/dark appearance choice.
• Added a clearer player dock, expanded playback controls, reduced-motion support and accessible larger-text layouts.
• Made station-unavailable messages compact and neutral, with a Retry action.
• Added neutral station initials for unavailable artwork. Known image failures affect future group visits while the current list keeps its order.
• Kept genre artwork square and introduced lazy category shelves with display-sized image decoding to reduce image-cache use.
• Included the previously unreleased playback recovery fix: switching to a working station no longer waits for a stalled connection.

Includes signed phone and Android TV APKs. The TV companion has the matching version number; its interface is unchanged.

Validation: 60 phone tests passed, analyzer clean, Galaxy S25 flow/theme/accessibility-layout and before/after performance checks completed. A physical TV was not available for a new runtime check. See ANDROID_REDESIGN.md in the repository for measurement details and limitations.

What's new

• Fixed: updating the app could corrupt the stations database and lose your favourites. Favourites are now carried over safely on every update.
• Fixed: a favourite whose station had been removed from the station list could stop the app from starting after an update.
• If the new stations database can't be written (for example, low storage), the app now keeps working on the old one and tries again on the next launch instead of failing to start.
• Notification banner text now uses the app's text colour.

If you lost favourites in an earlier update, they can't be recovered automatically; please add them again. Includes both the phone app and the Android TV app. The TV fix is covered by automated tests but could not be tried on a physical TV.
