Project AERO is committed to developing a system that is fair, inclusive, and user-friendly for everyone. Our objective is to guarantee that no particular group meet a disadvantage from the system's design or its functioning.

1. Accessibility

Our platform will not only comply with the minimum accessibility standards but also strive to make the web accessible to the disabled and elderly by providing readable text, easily identifiable labels, and support for keyboard navigation.

2. Language and Inclusion

The interface and automated messages will be using straightforward, respectful, and neutral language. The system will provide support for both English and French and will include the possibility of adding more languages in the future.

3. Data Privacy

Flight delay claims-related data will be obtained only when necessary and will be securely stored for a specified period. The users will be informed about the processing of their data and will have the option to request its erasure at any time.

4. Fairness and Bias

To ensure that the use of associated AI and other automated tools does not lead to bias or discrimination, they will be regularly evaluated. Personal or demographic data that may lead to discrimination will not be utilized.

5. Human Oversight

The system will facilitate, not eliminate, human control over the functions it performs. For example, among other actions, submitting claims or accepting offers will always require human verification.

6. Complaint and Feedback

Adverse decisions or concerns can be communicated by the users through the feedback form that we have set up. The team will evaluate those cases and may modify the system if there is evidence of a recurring pattern of unfair conduct.

Responsibility

The frontend team is responsible for ensuring accessibility and inclusive language throughout the user interface. The backend team will handle data protection, privacy compliance, and secure information storage. The AI team is in charge of fairness testing, monitoring automated decisions, and maintaining human oversight in the claim process.
