1. Data Protection

  • Risk: The platform stores sensitive user information (name, address, contact info, etc.), which could be exposed in the event of a security breach or system failure.
  • Mitigation (planned): We will implement role-based access, ensuring that only admins can view all sensitive data, and all sensitive information is encrypted.

2. AI-Generated Communication

  • Risk: Users may be uncomfortable in trusting AI-generated communication or automated legal claims.
  • Mitigation (planned): Provide clear justification for AI decision making processes (e.g. compensation logic). Allow users to review, and approve claims before submission such that users are always in control of the decisions.

3. Regulatory Compliance

  • Risk: Flight compensation laws vary by region (Canada, U.S., EU, etc.) and incorrect application could result in users receiving wrong compensations, creating legal complications.
  • Mitigation (planned): Apply correct compensations per region and research on the different compensation laws for each region.

4. Digital Accessibility & Equity Risk

  • Risk: Technology dependent platforms may create a barrier for the elderly or less tech-savvy passengers which can reinforce some existing socioeconomic inequalities.
  • Mitigation (integrated): Create a simple claim submission process and support multiple accessible interfaces (Web, Android, iOS).
