@NaveDanan NaveDanan released this 15 Sep 18:22

Observer v0.9.26

  • Preserve dotted hierarchy connections and prevent provenance styles from making sibling message arcs dashed.
  • Expand individual files in captured patch changes to inspect syntax-highlighted diffs. Explain missing or incomplete source data instead of inventing a diff.
  • Resize both sidebars with the pointer or keyboard. Width preferences persist, adapt to the viewport, and preserve space for the canvas.
  • Group chats by project by default, with a browser-local setting to use a flat list.
  • Add an optional Recent chats first setting based on the latest session activity. It is off by default to preserve creation-time ordering.

Validation: all nine workspace typechecks passed; 77 test files and 1,584 tests passed; production release build passed; browser acceptance passed at 1440, 1201, 1000, and 390px widths.

Install the attached tarball with npm install -g ./observer-ai-0.9.26.tgz, then run observer install all --plugin. Refresh an existing native Codex installation with codex plugin add observer@observer-local. Restart Observer and running coding hosts to load the updated integrations. Use only one native plugin or raw hook installation per host.

Observer v0.9.25

@NaveDanan NaveDanan released this 15 Sep 10:47

Changes

  • Draw one top/bottom connection per sibling pair, with one arrow and slow linear motion following the latest message direction.
  • Add a canvas turn selector with Latest turn, individual turns, and All turns. Reused agents retain their earlier turn states.
  • Explain when to resume an existing agent or create a fresh context with only relevant inputs.
  • Compact participating OpenCode contexts after root completion, without automatic continuation. Defer busy contexts and report compaction failures.
  • Allow a fresh OpenCode coordinator on a new user turn while preserving existing depth and creation limits.
  • Add SQLite turn persistence and reconstruction from retained event history.

Automatic native compaction currently supports OpenCode only. Other hosts receive context-selection and handoff guidance.

Installation

Download observer-ai-0.9.25.tgz, then run:

npm install -g ./observer-ai-0.9.25.tgz
observer install all
observer stop
observer start

Restart OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code, and Copilot CLI to load the updated hooks, agents, and plugins. Reload the canvas.

Verification

Build, workspace typecheck, 1,532 tests, and desktop/mobile browser checks passed. Browser checks covered turn selection, one-arrow rendering, four-second linear motion, and reduced motion.

Observer v0.9.24

@NaveDanan NaveDanan released this 14 Sep 07:36

Observer v0.9.24

  • Tab now updates the selected model's Context column. Left/right arrows identify models with multiple available context choices.
  • Context values follow the selected draft, saved setting, or host default. Advertised maximum capacity remains separate in the bottom Info: section.
  • Selected-row help moves out of the list and into the bottom Info: section across config views. Keyboard shortcuts remain below it.
  • Preserve the N logo and layouts for narrow terminals.

Validation: 169 focused config, context, and layout tests passed. Typecheck, CLI build, and render checks at 40x12, 60x18, 80x24, and 100x30 passed.

The production release build and isolated tarball installation passed. The full suite passed 1,523 tests and hit the previously observed Windows temporary-directory cleanup EPERM in one unchanged install test. All 19 install tests passed on the isolated rerun.

Install or upgrade

npm install -g ./observer-ai-0.9.24.tgz

For existing Codex/Copilot native-plugin installations, run observer install all --plugin and refresh the native plugin caches. For direct-hook installations, use observer install all. Use one installation mode per host.

Reopen observer config to use the updated TUI. Restart running host sessions to reload installed integrations. Codex may require hook approval through /hooks.

@NaveDanan NaveDanan released this 14 Sep 06:59

Observer v0.9.23

  • Fetch advertised OpenCode model context limits when the observer config picker opens. Preserve live metadata ahead of cache values, handle Windows command shims and CRLF output, and distinguish advertised capacity from context overrides.
  • Verify nested OpenCode session ancestry before execution. Reject missing or cross-thread resume IDs, and clean up unused sessions when the host loses their parent relationship.
  • Improve terminal focus, text contrast, keyboard guidance, empty states, and small-terminal layouts. Preserve the N logo on normal-sized terminals.

Validation: 1,520 tests passed across 71 files. Typecheck, production build, plugin syntax, and diff checks passed. Live OpenCode 1.18.30 checks returned capacities for all 23 discovered models and confirmed parent/child/nested session relationships and root-only listing behavior. Live checks covered host APIs, without model turns or an interactive TTY driver. Plugin execution and resume have regression coverage.

Install or upgrade

npm install -g ./observer-ai-0.9.23.tgz

For existing Codex/Copilot native-plugin installations, run observer install all --plugin and refresh the installed native plugin caches. For direct-hook installations, use observer install all. Use one installation mode per host.

Restart Observer and existing host sessions to load the new runtime, hooks, and agent definitions. Codex may require hook approval through /hooks.

Existing configuration and session history remain compatible. Historical detached sessions are not migrated, and deliberate OpenCode forks retain the host's semantics.

Observer v0.9.22

@NaveDanan NaveDanan released this 13 Sep 17:27

Observer v0.9.22 adds Claude Code Ultracode agent discovery and parent/subagent relationships.

  • Recover native Workflow agents from transcripts, workflow progress, metadata, and journals. Match stable agent IDs, not labels or launch order.
  • Reconcile late parent information, preserve terminal status, and keep observed agents visible above pre-spawn creation limits.
  • Recover transcripts without duplicate messages after replay or restart. Capture native prompt snapshots through the existing privacy and redaction settings.
  • Follow Claude model switches without letting older transcript or metadata records overwrite an authoritative model.
  • Support custom CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR installations and persist the root transcript location independently of the daemon's environment.

Validation: all 1,489 automated tests passed, the production build passed, and the installed release tarball observed all four supported hosts and recovered a three-agent/two-edge Ultracode fixture. Real Claude Code 2.1.267 Ultracode runs were also verified in Microsoft Edge. Nested relationships have automated coverage; native Claude blocked launching Workflow inside a subagent, so that execution topology was not live-verified.

Install or upgrade

Install the attached tarball:

npm install -g ./observer-ai-0.9.22.tgz

For existing Codex/Copilot native-plugin installations, run observer install all --plugin and refresh the installed native plugin caches. For direct-hook installations, use observer install all instead. Use only one installation mode per host.

Restart Observer and existing host sessions to load the new runtime, hooks, and employee definitions. Codex may request hook approval through /hooks.

The existing local database and session history are retained. Workflow's internal agent() fan-out is not governed by Observer's ordinary Agent/Task pre-spawn limits.

Observer v0.9.21

@NaveDanan NaveDanan released this 07 Sep 06:13

Observer v0.9.21 reduces the roster to six default employees and two optional specialists, with familiar Israeli names and stable role IDs.

  • Frontend Engineer Noam Cohen, Backend Engineer David Levi, Product Designer Yael Mizrahi, Quality Engineer Daniel Peretz, Platform Engineer Itai Friedman, and Research & Data Analyst Maya Shapiro are available by default.
  • Security Specialist Tamar Katz and Hardware Specialist Eitan Dahan can be enabled in employee settings.
  • Employee contracts define selection criteria, work stages, ownership, handoffs, deliverables, and verification. The root agent handles planning and integration.
  • The employee_brief tool exposes current roles and stage-specific instructions through MCP and OpenCode. Optional Playwright browser configuration is included.
  • Legacy employee settings remain supported. Installation reconciles Observer-owned definitions across OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot CLI.
  • The interface shows roles before names, supports optional specialists, and fixes authentication initialization when opening settings directly. Communication arcs show sibling conversations.

Validation: all 1,460 tests passed, the production build passed, and the packaged MCP smoke passed.

Install the attached tarball with npm install -g ./observer-ai-0.9.21.tgz, then rerun your existing Observer installation commands. For Codex and Copilot plugin installations, use observer install all --plugin and codex plugin add observer@observer-local. Restart existing host sessions to load the new employee definitions.
