Community Firmware V4.2-R5 — CC2 Control 1.1.31
CC2 Control gains print history, auto-refill controls and timelapse selection in the print popup. Camera streaming starts on request and releases the viewer when it closes or hands over to another CC2 page.
Changes
- Print history, timelapse generation and deletion of selected history records. Deleting history records does not delete G-code files.
- Timelapse selection in the print popup, including calibrated print starts.
- Auto-refill controls and machine error/status reporting.
- Persistent UDS queries, Quick Action light-state feedback and heater-action guards.
- Camera ownership across CC2 pages and windows, integrated from PR #71.
- Automatic printer serial discovery using the saved LAN credentials.
- LF shell scripts and explicit executable permissions in the prepared firmware component.

Installation
Use the application updater to update CC2 alone, or the signed firmware to update the integrated image. Extract the updater ZIP before running the launcher. The startup delay remains 60 seconds after the vendor printer process appears; the installer waits up to 240 seconds for application readiness.
Windows SSH host-key recovery remains explicit: use -ResetHostKey only for an expected key change, and verify the new fingerprint before accepting it. Existing LAN credentials are preserved; an initial installation still needs valid LAN credentials.
Validation and provenance
Repository commit: d630ac4a37ec9a7d1644deef87e796e903b5b29a (merged PR #69, incorporating PRs #67 and #71).
The integrated application was tested on a printer by the maintainer. Component host tests, ARM compilation and builder integration checks passed. The uploaded firmware passed independent SHA256, stock RSA signature, OTA manifest/SWU linkage, RootFS content, launcher LF/755 and init-link checks. The exact newly packaged firmware image has not yet undergone a fresh on-printer installation test.

CC2 Control 1.1.31fix — Missing Features & Improvements
A small standalone update for existing Community Firmware installations. Saved LAN credentials, material presets and UI preferences are preserved. Internal service version remains 1.1.31; the full firmware release remains V4.2-R5.
Fixes and improvements
- Restore 3D bed-mesh visibility and keep its framing stable during rotation.
- Bound automatic Canvas discovery across MQTT reconnects, expose diagnostics and retain explicit Sync.
- Identify G-code tools by colour and material during Canvas print setup.
- Fix intermittent browser uploads and report existing-file refusals without misleading network errors.
- Show the newest 128 G-code files, indicate hidden older files, and place the upload card above the list (PR78/PR80).
- Windows launcher includes
-ResetHostKey %*for explicit SSH host-key recovery and argument forwarding. Verify the new fingerprint before accepting it.
The thumbnail-priority experiment was discarded and is not included.
Installation and validation
Extract the updater ZIP and run Install-Windows.cmd on Windows, or sh install-cc2-control.sh <printer-ip> on Linux/macOS, while the printer is Idle. This updates CC2 Control without reflashing firmware.
Gino confirmed the PR80 test installer works on the real printer. The final package contains the exact same ARM executable and compiled UI. All release PR82 CI checks passed: host tests and ARM build, sanitizers, UI build and firmware-builder tests. Installer and browser upload/delete/duplicate checks also passed. Checksums and detailed validation notes are attached.

Community Firmware V4.2 — CC2 Control 1.1.30
Community Firmware V4.2 integrates the stable CC2 Control 1.1.30 release.
Important
After installation, wait for the printer services to finish initializing before opening CC2 Control. An additional reboot or power cycle is no longer required: CC2 Control realigns its local MQTT, Canvas and snapshot services automatically after the LAN access code is registered.
Highlights
- unified Bed Levelling workflow with Side A / Side B saved meshes;
- adaptive G-code probing and automatic full-bed calibration when the selected side has no saved mesh;
- four-screw corrections in microns with guarded reference optimization;
- Canvas material and spool selection integrated into print preparation;
- global Emergency Stop and operational Quick Actions;
- persistent English/Italian language and dark/light themes;
- G-code/3MF file manager, multi-selection, bulk delete/copy, thumbnails and OrcaSlicer upload/print support;
- filenames containing spaces and UTF-8 characters;
- live job data, object statistics, total layers, elapsed and remaining time;
- protected console, homing and printer-state safety guards;
- Panda compatibility service on port 7125.
Final 1.1.30 fixes
- rejects implausible G-code temperature metadata instead of displaying values such as 6211 °C;
- restores fast preview behavior by displaying the thumbnail before the full metadata scan;
- caches metadata by storage, path, size and modification time;
- removes remaining example/demo file information from live views;
- automatically realigns CC2 Control after first-run LAN-code registration, without restarting the printer.

CC2 Control 1.1.31 — Orca Canvas Sync and LAN Code Revalidation
CC2 Control 1.1.31 — Orca Canvas Sync and LAN Code Revalidation
CC2 Control 1.1.31 is a standalone update for existing Centauri Carbon 2 Community Firmware installations.
No full firmware reflash is required.
What’s new
OrcaSlicer Canvas filament synchronization
Added optional compatibility for OrcaSlicer when using the Moonraker printer agent.
CC2 Control now exposes the read-only endpoints expected by OrcaSlicer:
GET /server/infoGET /server/database/item?namespace=lane_data
Canvas tray data is mapped into Orca-compatible filament lanes, including:
- slot / tray ID
- material type
- filament colour
- maximum nozzle temperature
The existing Octo/Klipper workflow, Device tab, upload flow and Canvas print-selection popup remain unchanged.
Thanks to @efiten for the original proposal, investigation and printer-side validation.
LAN access-code revalidation
The printer LAN access code can now be replaced directly from:
Settings → Connection
Enter the new code and select:
Change / Revalidate
CC2 Control writes the replacement configuration atomically and restarts only its own service.
The printer itself is not rebooted or power-cycled, and the normal printer services remain untouched.
The documented SSH recovery procedures are still available as fallback options if configuration access is lost.
Installation
If you already run an earlier Community Firmware release, use:
CC2-Control-1.1.31-Multiplatform-Update.zip
The updater replaces only CC2 Control and preserves persistent configuration, material presets and interface preferences.
Supported updater platforms:
- Windows
- Linux
- macOS
Included files

Compatibility
- Community Firmware V4.2
- existing Community Firmware installations using CC2 Control
- OrcaSlicer standard Octo/Klipper workflow
- optional OrcaSlicer Moonraker-agent filament synchronization
- ELEGOO Canvas 4-slot material system

Notes
This release updates CC2 Control only.
Community Firmware V4.2 itself remains unchanged.
The next full firmware release can include CC2 Control 1.1.31 directly.
Community Firmware V4.1 — CC2 Control 1.1.25
Community Firmware V4.1 is focused on the full integration and stabilization of CC2 Control 1.1.25 for the ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 2.
Important
After the firmware installation has completed and the printer has booted normally, reboot the printer once more.
This post-install reboot is required so CC2 Control, Canvas state, MQTT registration and the background compatibility services initialize against a settled printer runtime.
V4.1 was validated with complete firmware installation cycles on physical Centauri Carbon 2 hardware. The R8 integration fix was additionally validated from a fully clean /opt/usr state.
R8 clean-install fix
R8 fixes the first-run error Connection failed: Cannot save configuration that could occur on a completely clean installation. CC2 Control now waits for the persistent UDISK filesystem to be mounted on /opt/usr before creating its configuration directory and seeding material presets. Existing LAN codes, preferences and presets remain preserved during upgrades.
CC2 Control remains version 1.1.25; R8 is a firmware-integration revision.
Highlights
- CC2 Control 1.1.25 integrated into the firmware
- CC2 Control available in browser and in the OrcaSlicer Device tab
- Live camera, temperatures, fans, current job and service health
- G-code file manager with USB/internal storage and thumbnails
- Canvas four-slot management and material presets
- Canvas spool-selection popup before multicolour prints
- Bed Mesh 2D/3D and isolated four-screw load-cell tramming
- Object Exclusion support
- Protected expert console with homing and motion guards
- Panda / Moonraker-like compatibility on TCP 7125
- API v1 capability/discovery endpoint
- Original

Installation
The computer and printer must be connected to the same local network.
You will need:
- the printer IP address
- the printer root password
Default root password:
MTY4ODE2
If you previously changed the root password, use your own password instead.
The password may be requested more than once during installation because the package first copies the update to the printer and then starts the remote installation.
Windows 10 / 11
Extract the ZIP, open PowerShell in the extracted folder and run:
Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Force
.\Install-CC2-Control-1.1.26.ps1
You can also specify the printer IP directly:
.\Install-CC2-Control-1.1.26.ps1 -PrinterIp 192.168.1.103
Replace 192.168.1.103 with the actual printer IP.
On the first SSH connection, type:
yes
when asked to trust the host key.
Then enter the root password:
MTY4ODE2
The password is not displayed while typing. This is normal.
If Windows reports that ssh or scp cannot be found, enable the Windows OpenSSH Client optional feature.
Linux / macOS
Extract the ZIP, open a terminal in the extracted folder and run:
chmod +x install-cc2-control-1.1.26.sh
./install-cc2-control-1.1.26.sh
Or specify the printer IP directly:
./install-cc2-control-1.1.26.sh 192.168.1.103
Accept the SSH host key with:
yes
and enter the root password when requested.
Verify the update
Open:
http://PRINTER-IP:8081
CC2 Control should report version:
1.1.26
You can also verify through SSH:
wget -qO- http://127.0.0.1:8081/api/health
