Changelog - v1.43.0

This update gives every project one clear view of its money, lets you invite anyone into a shared
workspace (even people without a TensorPM account yet), and fixes a few rough edges in menus and
dialogs.

💶 Budget: one cost overview instead of scattered numbers

Before, the budget tab, the Pulse card, the spending chart and the work breakdown each added up
costs in their own way, and budget buckets had no amount of their own. Now all of them use the
same calculation, so the numbers always agree.

  • Positions carry the budget: your categories (or work packages in WBS projects) are the cost
positions. Give each one a budget right in the table; a parent position shows the sum of its
    children.
  • Budget, forecast, variance, actual: the overview at the top shows what you planned, what
the project will probably cost, how far that is from the budget, and what has been spent, plus
what is committed but not yet invoiced. A short sentence and a few hints tell you what needs
attention, for example a finished task without actual cost or material without a price.
  • Cost entries with a status: a cost entry is now estimated, committed or settled. The
forecast uses the invoice once an entry is settled, otherwise the larger of estimate and
    contract.
  • Nothing counted twice: a cost entry can pay for a task or a material item (or a whole
material group). Their own figures then no longer count, so a window order no longer shows up as
an expense, a task and a material item at the same time. If an entry looks like an existing
task or material item, TensorPM suggests linking them.
  • Careful forecast: as long as a position is not fully recorded, the rest of its budget stays
in the forecast. You free up savings by lowering the budget. A finished work package counts only
    what was recorded.
  • Material counts too: the material list has a new Cost position column. Material costs count
in that position (the estimate, or quantity × unit price, until the actual cost is known).
  • Your old buckets are kept: costs from budget buckets appear under Not assigned, grouped by
their former bucket, so one choice moves a whole bucket into a position.
  • Task list: remaining cost is now always calculated and no longer typed in. A task paid by a
cost entry shows that entry's figures.

👥 Invite people into your workspace

  • Invite anyone with an email address: right-click a person in the People view and choose
Invite to Workspace, or use the new invite button on the person's card. The person doesn't
need a TensorPM account: the invitation email walks them through signing up and puts them
    straight into your workspace.
  • Clear feedback: if someone is already invited or a member, if you don't have permission to
invite, or if you're offline, TensorPM now says so instead of reporting "sent".
  • People who already have an account are marked Already has a TensorPM account.

🎨 Polish

  • Dropdown arrows sit inside their fields again: in dialogs such as the new cost entry dialog,
the arrow of a dropdown no longer sticks to the right edge.
  • Offline start screen: the buttons shown when TensorPM can't reach its service are now
centered under the message, with proper spacing.

📝 Notes

  • Teammates on older versions keep working with the new cost data: an entry's status and links
are preserved when they edit it. Update everyone to see the new budget view.
