Basics

Recruitment

To start building your own army you need to craft a Recruitment Bench from TACZ: Simple Enemy Mod, interact with it using a handful of emeralds, and recruit at least one PMC, or install PMC Structures to have PMC units spawn naturally in your world! (see more in the compat section)

Items

All items in this mod (except the Vehicle Pool Clipboard, used for debugging) exist to dispatch controls to your units.

Tactical Data Terminal (TDT)

immagine _SEM Command Menu_

You can use the SEM menu (Default: CTRL + C), which works perfectly fine, to dispatch orders at close distance, all commands should be compatible. The native way to dispatch commands is using the Tactical Data Terminal (TDT) item, which adds more orders on top of the existing ones.

The TDT is divided into several columns, ordered by type.

  • ORDERS - For regular SEM orders.
  • CREW - For collective, generic vehicle orders.
  • AREA - For area control.
  • AIR - Self-descriptive, controls for air.
  • FORM - Vehicle/infantry formations.

Orders description:

ORDERS

  • Hold Position - Stops the unit from moving completely and holds position until Free Fire is ordered.
  • Move To... - Lets you define a position for units to travel to.
  • Cease Fire - Stops aggroing.
  • Free Fire - Self-descriptive; also used to undo some persistent orders.
  • Attack That - Manually define targets to aggro.
  • Follow Me - Follows the player.

CREW

  • Board Vehicle - Selected units will board a vehicle.
  • Dismount - Selected units will dismount a vehicle.
  • Set Guard - Lets you DEFINE a position your units will remember and automatically engage Hold Position at.
  • Reach Guard - Lets your guards REACH the position set by Set Guard.
  • Escort - Same as Follow Me, but delegated to other entities (e.g. selected tanks will follow an entity).
  • Board as Passenger - Units will travel to a vehicle and board after you.

AREA

  • Patrol - Units patrol a defined radius (default 256 blocks) around a set point and roll position after a random amount of time.
  • Search & Destroy - Units actively search and engage hostiles within a defined radius (default 256 blocks).
  • Entrench - Allows you to select built trenches or foxholes and assign your units there.
  • Dismiss - Dismiss units from persistent orders (e.g. Search and destroy, Entrench, Patrol, Cruise, etc.)

AIR

  • Takeoff/Refresh altitude - Triggers Take off sequences for Helicopters and Planes and defines Altitude (HELICOPTERS ONLY, Default 35 blocks)
  • Land - Orders Helicopters/Airplanes to land
  • Rappel - Orders helicopters to quickly dismount all passenger units into the ground.

FORM

  • Self Descriptive Entries

For more orders, see the Compat section.

For selecting units, you may use the distinctive ribbon at the bottom of the GUI

"All" button allows you to select ALL the individual units within range (deselect with NONE), you may also click the unit icon (note: icon depends on what type of vehicle they're driving/piloting, x1 means there are 1 units assigned to the vehicle; it does NOT mean there is 1 plane). Click "Live Sel" to visually select your units in-world.

Handheld Radio

immagine

You may use the Handheld Radio to call in attacks from emplacements or CAS at a configurable distance, for example:

  • Mortars
  • TOWs
  • FCP Mortars
  • Artillery (e.g. PLZ-05)
  • Aircraft

To use a Handheld Radio, select the frequency (defines which category of emplacements/units you want to communicate with) and define the TARGET, ENTITY lets you select tanks, vehicles, infantry, or entities in general. POSITION is exclusive to AIR and MORTAR, and lets you select a block instead. You may also optionally define DELAY (exclusive to MORTAR, the amount of time a mortar waits before firing shells). "Call Mission" confirms your configuration and selects the block you're pointing at (for POSITION targets), or lets you select entities (for ENTITY targets) by following the Action Bar instructions:

For AIR vehicles, ORDNANCE will allow you to select the specific ordnance the air vehicle will engage with. leave AUTO for a random roll.

TIP: vehicles can also call for mortar/TOW support if they have a Handheld Radio in inventory
