How to handle places that have permanently closed?

Should I open a pull request deleting the place or would it be better to update the place to denote that it is permanently closed? Is there even a way to express that a place is permanently closed?

I've just been deleting them as I've found them.

There's a few that are long-term closed but with the intent of reopening -- I've left them in. (For example, there's a hedge maze in Wales that's regrowing their hedges after severe flood damage).

I don't think there's any tagging or metadata fields for things like "closed" (permanent or temporary) yet, but there's definitely scope for it.
