Public pre-release of the data-free Titan Souls Android compatibility port.

What works

  • Native Titan Souls Android 1.0.3 flow on ARMv7 handhelds.
  • Video, music/SFX, controller input, persistent save and clean exit on the validated device paths.
  • Native language menu expanded to English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • ROCKNIX Nightly / Miyoo Flip RK3566 audio restored by an adapter-only compatibility rule for the pinned FMOD Ex 4.44.17 guest.

Install

  1. Extract titansouls-1.0.0-rc.4.zip into the firmware's ports directory.
  2. Put your lawful Titan Souls Android v1.0.3 APK and matching main.31.com.devolver.titansouls.obb in titansouls/gamedata/.
  3. Launch Titan Souls. NXExtract validates and installs the owner-provided data on first run.

No APK, OBB, extracted game library, asset or save is included. The repository also keeps the shared NextOS framework external; no framework source is vendored there.

Validation boundary

  • The executable is byte-identical to the ROCKNIX audio test build: 5fbe3ec54bc709748edc02dbae230f2494de2d190fbb5e76c83e2c31b1642087.
  • NXRelease validated and reopened the ZIP.
  • Both packaged Linux ELFs stay within the GLIBC_2.30 ceiling; observed maximum is GLIBC_2.28.
  • ZIP SHA-256: 24316f03c9b4cbcc9b22824a1477c7e63c14dba6f14bb3ecb4280899568c93cd.
  • A one-pixel tile grid remains a known visual limitation on Mali-450/Utgard.

This is a public pre-release candidate. Please report the firmware, device model and generated logs when testing a new device family.

⚠️ Updating from this version? Do a CLEAN install. Delete BOTH the titansouls folder AND Titan Souls.sh from ports/ before extracting a newer release. Extracting on top can keep this old launcher, which rejects newer engines (the port will not start). Releases v1.0.7+ fix this permanently.
