What's new

MK8D country flag installer

A new button appears next to the BCAT bar on the main screen. Press < > to navigate to it, then A to open the country menu.

What it does: Lets you install a country flag for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online play. Other players in the same online room will see your selected flag and country name — this is not a local texture change, it patches the country code the game sends over the network.

How it works:

  • Browse 110 countries from MK8D 3.0.5's internal country table
  • Select one and press A to download and install
  • Prelude fetches the IPS ExeFS patch from alyeri/nextendo-mk8d-country-flags and writes it to sdmc:/atmosphere/exefs_patches/Nextendo Country XX/
  • Only one flag can be active at a time — installing a new one removes the previous automatically
  • The main screen shows the currently installed country (e.g. MK8D - Flag: ES)
  • Restart MK8D after installing to apply

Requires: MK8D 3.0.5 (build ID FE941ED5BA14BE5D505698DA1BBF4FE7). Does not work with other game versions.
