NexusTomorrow is a server for the WildStar client, build 16042 (the game's final patch), written in C# on .NET 10. It started from NexusForever's game_rework branch and is building its own server core, so it doesn't run a game server yet.
Note
This wiki covers how the server is designed, how it's being built, and how we work on it. The repository's README is the front door.

CONTRIBUTING.md, then Code standard for the why |
Steps to a goal.
- Running the tests - the suite on your own machine, and in CI on GitHub's runners.
Why things are the way they are.
- Code standard - Microsoft's conventions held by the build, and the handful of choices that are ours.
-
Branches and workflow -
main, bootstrapand throwaway test branches, and why the tests run only when dispatched.
Facts to look up.
- Repository layout - the root files, every project and what it depends on, the tests and the workflow.
What we intend to build.
- Server core design - one process and one world, owners reached through the gateway's opcode table, declared messages, public hosting, and the client as ground truth.
- Roadmap - the six build steps, milestone one exactly, and where each step stands.
- Codec design - one declaration per message with explicit widths, a generated reader and writer, and the client-facts table that checks them.
- Message audit design - every message checked against the client before more feature work: verification rungs, neutral names, the full-layout check and the generated protocol reference.
- Documentation standards - page kinds, the status ladder and the header badges. Read it before you write a page.
- Documentation standards house style - chapters, callouts, tables, diagrams, spelling and voice.
A WildStar 16042 client. The repository holds server code only: no client, no client files and no game data. Tables and maps are extracted from your own copy, and stay on your machine.
NexusTomorrow is licensed under the AGPL-3.0, inherited from NexusForever, whose full history it keeps. If you run a modified server that other people connect to, you owe them its source.
