The left analog stick replicates the stylus movement. It is centred around the middle of the screen.
Pressing R2 toggles (and holds) a press on the screen.
This allows for true analog movements in SM64DS.
SM64 Auto
The left analog stick replicates the stylus movement. It is centred around the middle of the screen.
Pressing R2 is not needed. The stylus will be held down as soon as the stick is being pushed outside its deadzone.
The stylus is held in the middle of the screen for a few frames before folowing the stick movements. This delay is necessary to prevent false inputs.
This allows for true analog movement in SM64DS, automatically, at the cost of input lag.
Cursor
The stick will move the stylus freely around the screen area.
Pressing R2 will press the stylus against the screen.
