TradeAgent 0.1.2

@Nicolas1bhr Nicolas1bhr released this 06 Sep 08:50

TradeAgent 0.1.2 is the release after the second money-path review. It changes what the owner can do by accident, what the app believes about the platform, and what it does with a file it cannot read.

What changed for you

  • Every control that gives the AI more authority now asks twice: switching to a real-money mode, resuming AI trading after a stop, and raising any safety limit. Controls that only take authority away still take one press.
  • The bridge inside ATAS speaks protocol 3. After this update the app refuses the old bridge on purpose and tells you to press Reinstall the bridge on the Checks page; press it, then start the TradeAgent Bridge strategy on a chart again.
  • The emergency Close all positions now reads back the order it caused on the real bridge and reports it inside its two-second promise, instead of reporting "not confirmed" while the close had already filled.
  • A close that arrives while another order for the same instrument is still on the wire is refused and says so, rather than doubling or reversing the position. A close sized on a position that moved before it was sent is refused too.
  • Resolving an unconfirmed order yourself is refused while the app is still sending it, and if the platform later answers differently from what you resolved, the record is flagged again with both accounts side by side.
  • Settings the app cannot read, and a vendor file (runtimes.json, atas.json) that exists but cannot be read, now stop trading and say so on the Safety and Checks pages. Nothing is guessed and nothing is silently replaced by a default.
  • Files you drop in the inbox are recorded as yours only when the app can attest that no AI process was running at the time; otherwise the record says so.
  • A download that resumes from an earlier attempt is bound to what it was a part of, and an install without a checksum is written to the activity log as an explicit decision with the vendor's reason.
  • The ATAS platform installer is still downloaded without a pinned checksum. Pinning one is the owner's decision and will be a data-only update.

Not in this release

  • No broker is attached to the test installation, so unattended real-money trading remains refused by the app itself until the platform can prove client order ids and order history.

Checksums

SHA256SUMS.txt is attached; the app verifies the installer against it before installing, and refuses an update it cannot verify.

Update-path proof release. The only changes from 0.1.0 are the version number and a test-isolation seam in the ATAS health reporter (production behaviour identical). Built on a machine with ATAS installed; the manifest read the ATAS adapter as PRESENT out of the compiled assembly.

This installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" the first time. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Check the file against SHA256SUMS.txt if you would rather be certain first.

The first release. Windows 11 x64.

TradeAgent gives an AI assistant a limited, supervised way to see your trading account in ATAS and to
place orders in it — with you holding every switch. It installs for your account only, so Windows does
not ask for an administrator password, and there is no terminal anywhere in it.

  • It starts in practice mode. Nothing real can happen until you switch real money on yourself.
  • In "Real, ask me first", every order the AI proposes waits for you to approve it.
  • STOP AI TRADING sits in the window chrome, one press away from any screen.
  • The AI cannot log in to your broker and has no access to your password.

Requires ATAS. TradeAgent installs its bridge into ATAS for you; there is nothing to set up by hand.

From this release onwards TradeAgent also checks here for newer versions and offers them in the app.
It never installs one on its own: that always takes two deliberate presses from you.
