Modex 1.0.0

@NikhilKain NikhilKain released this 22 Aug 14:29

The first Modex release.

Every Magisk, Zygisk, LSPosed and KernelSU module, from every repo, in one
searchable catalog — with a watchlist that tells you when the ones you keep
get an update.

Install

Download Modex-1.0.0.apk below, open it on your phone and allow "install
unknown apps" when prompted. Android 8.0 or newer. There is no Play listing.

Root is optional. Without it Modex is a catalog and a watchlist; with it,
it also reads what you actually have installed, compares against that, and
installs modules through your own manager — Magisk, KernelSU or APatch.

Two themes

Settings › Theme switches the whole app between:

  • Liquid Glass — an editorial layout on a wallpaper, with a floating
navigation bar, search field and action bar that sample what is behind them,
blur it and bend it at the edges. Blur, refraction and edge are tunable.
Needs Android 12+ for the real effect; below that the panes render as plain
    tinted fills.
  • Material 3 Expressive — cards, filled badges, springs and the wavy sync
track, with the palette taken from your wallpaper on Android 12 and newer.

In this build

  • Six sources: Magisk Modules Alt Repo, Googlers Repo, the LSPosed index,
three GitHub topic crawlers, plus any MMRL-format modules.json you add.
  • Update checking on a schedule you pick — manual, daily, weekly or monthly —
against the author's own updateJson where one exists.
  • Modules that ship no readable name now get a title recovered from their id,
rather than a row reading com.statusbarmod.hook.
  • No account, no analytics, no ads. Your watchlist and settings never leave
    the device.

Verifying this APK

Signed with the Modex release key:

Modules run as root and Modex indexes thousands of repositories nobody has
reviewed. It marks which entries came from a curated repo, but it cannot vouch
for any of them — install things you have reason to trust.
