Release list
Relay 1.0.3
What's new in Relay 1.0.3
- Send with Relay from the right-click menu in File Explorer, Dolphin and Files (Nautilus), to one device or several at once. On Windows 11 it is under Show more options.
- Update checks. Relay tells you when a newer version is out. Turn it off in Settings › About.
- Fewer antivirus false alarms on Windows. Media keys, volume, screen lock and keep-awake no longer go through PowerShell.
- Start with your computer can always be turned off, and is now registered correctly when the install folder has a space in its name.
- A clear message instead of "Failed to launch JVM" if Relay can't start.
- Join us on Telegram from Settings: https://t.me/vythera_apps
- Arch Linux and Manjaro: build a package from
packaging/arch/PKGBUILD(see the README).
The Android app is updated through Google Play.

New
- Connect a new device by scanning a QR code: Add a device on the Devices page, or in the tray menu
- See your phone's notifications on your computer, and reply or dismiss them
- Device tools: find your phone, check its battery, control media and volume, use your phone as a trackpad, browse a folder you choose
- Relay reconnects to your phone by itself after a restart
- If Relay was opened straight from inside a zip or a disk image, it now says so and points you to the installer
Fixed
- Volume and media keys from the phone did nothing on Windows
- Keep-awake said it was on when it wasn't
- Pairings could be lost if the power cut out while Relay was saving
- Windows exposed Relay's own transfer records through a shared folder
About the warnings
The apps aren't code-signed. Windows may say the publisher is unknown: choose More info, then Run anyway. macOS may say Relay is damaged; it isn't — run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Relay.app once. Checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Relay 1.0.0
Relay moves files, text, links and the clipboard directly between your own devices over
your Wi-Fi. No account, no cloud, nothing in the middle.
What is in this release
- Universal clipboard — copy on one device, paste on another: text, images, files.
- Ecosystem mode — paired devices act as one, so nothing asks you to accept.
- Drop shelf — drag a file to the left edge of your screen and drop it on your phone.
- Home-screen widget on Android — your devices, one tap from sending.
- Tap to share contacts between two Android phones.
Downloads
| Platform | File |
|---|---|
| Windows 10/11 (64-bit) | Relay-1.0.0-windows-x64.zip — unzip and run Relay.exe |
| Android 10+ | Relay-1.0.0.apk, or Google Play |
| Linux, macOS | Built by CI on tagged releases; see the workflow run for this tag |
Windows may warn that the app is unrecognised: these builds are not code-signed yet.
Choose "More info" then "Run anyway", or use the Play or source builds.
Notes
- Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi. Pairing is confirmed by matching three shapes
and a number on both screens. - Optional anonymous usage statistics are off unless you turn them on in Settings.
