InsightTrack v1.0.1

Choose a tag to compare

@NishikantaRay NishikantaRay released this 28 Aug 18:04

Metadata-only patch release. No application code changes — the software is identical to v1.0.0.

What changed

  • ORCID — the citation metadata now carries 0009-0006-8210-5093, so this deposit is linked to a persistent author identifier. The v1.0.0 record predates the ORCID registration.
  • Affiliation added to .zenodo.json and CITATION.cff
  • CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md — Contributor Covenant 2.1
  • README — a "Citing this software" section with a BibTeX entry and an explanation of concept vs. version DOI

Use the concept DOI, which always resolves to the latest release:

InsightTrack v1.0.0

Choose a tag to compare

@NishikantaRay NishikantaRay released this 28 Aug 17:10

First tagged release of InsightTrack — a self-hosted web analytics platform with a dual-database architecture.

Architecture

PostgreSQL is the system of record for tracking events, authentication and site management. An embedded DuckDB instance, kept current by an incremental sync process, serves every analytics query. The split lets the transactional store stay normalised and write-optimised while analytical aggregations run against a columnar engine in the same process, with no separate warehouse to operate.

What's included

  • Dashboard — React 18 + Vite, with dark mode throughout
  • API — Express 4 with JWT auth, per-site membership and roles
  • SQL editor — allowlist-validated and scoped to a single tenant
  • Retention — configurable policies that delete from both stores
  • Privacy — honours Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
  • Pulse — built-in AI analyst, with bring-your-own-key support
  • MCP toolkit — exposes analytics to MCP clients

Benchmarks

Ships with a seeded, reproducible engine benchmark harness (fixed seed, 30 measured runs per query, recorded environment) comparing PostgreSQL and DuckDB execution times at 100K, 1M and 5M rows. Raw CSV and JSON results are included under benchmark-results/.
