v1.0.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Oct 00:19
3d75c41

Rufus Linux is a stable Linux-native release within its documented
capability set. It is an independent port and is not produced,
endorsed, or supported by the upstream Rufus project.

Highlights: automatic USB hot-plug detection, aligned and
keyboard-accessible controls, a continuous Windows-style progress
bar, true modal overlays, and stronger privileged source/target
validation with cooperative cancellation.

Download the package for your x86_64 distribution:

  • Debian/Ubuntu: sudo apt install ./rufus-linux_*_amd64.deb
  • Fedora: sudo dnf install ./rufus-linux-*.x86_64.rpm
  • Arch Linux: sudo pacman -U ./rufus-linux-*-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
  • Portable desktop: chmod +x ./rufus-linux-*.AppImage && ./rufus-linux-*.AppImage

The AppImage runs on x86_64 glibc 2.28+ desktops. If FUSE is not
available, add --appimage-extract-and-run. For security, the
portable artifact does not contain privileged code: writing and
formatting require the matching native package's root-owned helper.

Verify the download first with sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS.

This release supports safe formatting and raw, compressed-raw,
ISOHybrid, and standalone VHD/VHDX writing with verification.
Native packages install qemu-nbd, nbdinfo, and nbdcopy for
conversion. Review the project capability matrix before performing
destructive operations.
