Releases: NixaXI/AnisPaper
Release list
AnisPaper 0.2.0
Experimental snapshot for KDE Plasma 6 / Wayland.
Built on CachyOS (glibc rolling, x86_64). Same layout as 0.1.0: daemon, isolated Scene engine, Plasma wallpaper plugin, Qt UI.
Highlights
- Workshop library grid — dense tiles with full preview and the wallpaper name on the card.
- Wallpaper properties —
project.jsonoptions (sliders, colors, combos) are listed in the UI and forwarded into Scene (--set-property) and Web (wallpaperPropertyListener). This is the backend that #2 was missing; wallpapers like Erratic Signals no longer start with empty/invalid options. - Web wallpapers actually paint — WebGL/canvas is read back instead of grabbing a black offscreen widget. Remote
http(s)from Workshop HTML is blocked on purpose (a lot of web packs pull untrusted scripts); local packs keep working, others fall back to the preview. - Scene — packed
scene.pkgremains the native path (particles, 2D scenes, audio-reactive packs). User properties now reach the engine. - Video — VAAPI / SHM transport, stable 30 fps on heavy sources, less dual-output GPU load.
- Gaming Mode — the UI switch is the preference (
auto/off); live pause is separate so turning the switch off is supposed to stop auto-pause.

AnisPaper 0.1.0 — first snapshot
Experimental first snapshot for KDE Plasma 6 / Wayland.
This is a live-wallpaper stack, not a single portable AppImage: daemon, isolated Wallpaper Engine Scene renderer, Plasma wallpaper plugin, and a native Qt/QML control panel.
Highlights
- Native anis-paper-ui (Qt/QML). The Electron shell is gone.
- Isolated scene engine so a bad Workshop pack should not take
plasmashelldown with it. - Steam Workshop in the UI — search Wallpaper Engine items and Subscribe / download through the running Steam client (app
431960). linux-wallpaperengine typically only plays a folder you already copied out ofsteamapps/workshop; AnisPaper can queue the download itself (steam_api UGC, with a QR/login fallback). - Multi-monitor mapping, pause when a game goes fullscreen, Anis Starlight color scheme extras.
