0.3 Alpha (experimental)

  • Restore pool-water refraction and reflections, with a visible pool floor in daytime and dusk Hopping Game.
  • Add character and platform lighting, restore platform materials, and fix the shader-cache slowdown during Hopping Game.
  • Fix reached Hopping Game, Take a rest, Jungle-stage and Options/hotel transition stops, including dusk pool entry.
  • Make Gamma, Brightness and Contrast visibly affect the picture.
  • Start in Digital Control for new and older saves, while remembering an explicit later choice of Analog or Digital.
  • Correct inventory action text used by accessory equip and lotion use, and restrict keyboard input to the focused game window.

Setup

  1. Extract the entire ZIP into a new folder with a short path.
  2. Drag your supported USA game ISO onto BuildGame.cmd. Wait for Setup complete.
  3. Open RunGame.cmd in the same folder.

Requires Windows 10/11 x64, Git with internet access, CMake 3.20+, and Visual Studio 2019 Build Tools with the C++ desktop workload and a Windows SDK. Python, Capstone and the ISO extractor are bundled. If required, install the included Prerequisites/vc_redist.x86.exe. See the ZIP's README.txt and docs/building.md.

Setup builds the Win32 game runner locally. The ZIP contains source and prerequisite tools, with no game files or prebuilt game runner. Automatic GitHub source archives require separately installed tools. Existing saves are not imported automatically into the new folder; preserve your previous installation and saves.

Please report issues with reproduction steps, your build version, hardware/controller details, and the relevant stop or crash message. Remove private paths before sharing logs; do not upload game files, generated game code, saves or BIOS.

This project uses LLMs and AI coding agents extensively for code, reverse engineering, tests and documentation. Their output can contain mistakes; passing tests does not establish complete game fidelity.

Bundled components retain their licenses. XboxDev extract-xiso uses build-202505152050; its license is included. This product includes software developed by in in@fishtank.com. See LICENSE and NOTICE.
