[weekly-issue-activity] Weekly Summary - 2026-09-07

[github-actions[bot]]

📊 Weekly Overview

During Sep 1–7, 2026, the repository recorded 19 issues opened and 13 closed, compared with 2 opened and 2 closed during Aug 25–31. All 19 new issues were generated by GitHub Actions automation, primarily Autoloop freshness work and agentic-workflow failure reports.

The backlog increased from 0 open issues at the end of last week to 6 currently open. Across the 30-day sample (Aug 9–Sep 7), 15 issues were closed with an average lifespan of 1.80 days and a median of 1.20 days.

📈 Issue Activity Trends

Weekly Activity Patterns

Activity accelerated sharply this week, with opened issues outnumbering closures by 6. The running open total is therefore rising, although the 12-week chart has meaningful repository data only for the last 30 days; earlier weeks are shown as zero due to the available issue history.

Resolution Time Analysis

Closed issues were generally resolved quickly: the overall 30-day average is 1.80 days and the median is 1.20 days. This week’s closed issues averaged 2.02 days, slower than last week’s 0.42 days, with the moving average reflecting the small, bursty sample.

🔑 Key Trends

• Automation dominated intake: 13 of the 19 issues opened this week carry the automation label, while 11 carry both autoloop and autoloop-program.
• Six of the 19 new issues are agentic-workflow failure or incomplete-result reports.
• The current open backlog is six issues, all created this week; there were no open issues at the end of Aug 31.
• By closed-issue label, automation had 11 closures averaging 2.21 days; autoloop and autoloop-program each had 9 averaging 2.61 days.
• The complete 30-day repository sample contains 21 issues total, so trend interpretation is sensitive to automated bursts.

💡 Recommendations for Upcoming Week

• Triage the six currently open issues first, grouping duplicate Autoloop freshness reports and prioritizing the two Autoloop failure reports.
• Review the workflow configuration and failure patterns behind the agentic-workflow issues to reduce repeated automated intake.
• Keep the freshness programs bounded or deduplicated so repeated runs do not create parallel issues for the same maintenance target.
• Track resolution time separately for automation-generated issues and human-reported work; the current sample is almost entirely bot-generated and may not represent normal project demand.

Note: issue history available to this report spans only Aug 30–Sep 7, though the requested reporting window is 30 days. The CSVs and charts handle the sparse range; earlier chart weeks are shown as zero where no repository issue history was available.
