The first public release of OpenLegacy Player, a recreation of Windows Media Player Legacy built in WPF with the full Frutiger Aero look: glass chrome, glossy blue orbs, floating bubbles, and liquid sliders.

Highlights

  • Music library with automatic tag reading (title, artist, album, art)
  • Drive browsing: select any drive and every audio file is found and grouped by folder, smooth even with huge collections
  • Playlists saved as standard .m3u files
  • Now Playing scene with cover art, mirrored reflection, and a WMP-style bars visualizer
  • Settings, persistent volume/shuffle/repeat/window state, and a built-in update checker

Downloads

  • Setup exe: installer with Start menu entry and clean uninstall
  • Portable zip: unzip and run, nothing to install

Both are self-contained for 64-bit Windows 10/11. No .NET install needed.
