Changes

  • Fix project-local shim behavior so running plain codex no longer gets rewritten to codex exec; interactive TUI now passes through correctly.
  • Add best-effort auto-update on active shim startup: if a newer GitHub release exists, the worktree is clean, and the repo is on a branch, Codexplain runs git pull --ff-only and rebuilds before starting Codex.
  • Document CODEXPLAIN_AUTO_UPDATE=off codex for one-command opt-out.
  • Sync npm package version with the Rust release version.
