Kura is a free application that scans your drives, identifies every PlayStation game you own, and helps you organise, transfer, and install them — across PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3, PS4, PS5, and PS Vita, in a single library. It reads inside each file for the real title, cover art, and metadata (not the filename), finds duplicates, organises for any console layout, and installs straight to your console.

1.6.49 fixed the serious things an audit turned up. This one clears the rest of that list — the smaller faults that were still real.
Cooling health — know when cleaning is actually due
- The console dashboard now tracks how hot your console idles, and tells you when that has drifted. Thermal → Cooling health shows today's idle temperature against the baseline from when tracking started. If it has crept up, restricted airflow is the usual cause and the dust catchers are the first thing to check — pop the side panels off and vacuum the two wells, no disassembly needed.
- There is a Start a new baseline button for use straight after cleaning, so you get a real before-and-after.
- It says what it cannot know. A warmer room raises idle temperature too, and this cannot tell a dusty console from a hot day — so it reports drift as a prompt to look, not as proof of dust. History is kept on the console and survives reboots and loader updates.
Pictures and pages that would not load
- The live kernel-log viewer works. The Logs panel and the footer ticker open a live feed that the console had always refused, so both sat empty in every browser. Same cause as the covers and previews above: a live feed cannot carry the page’s credentials, so it must not be behind a credential check.
- Game covers appear on the PS4 dashboard. The protection that stops another website loading images off your console was also catching the console's own page, so every cover came back blank.
- The raw system log and the patch file viewer open. Both are opened as plain links, which cannot carry the page's credentials, so both were refused.
Things that said they worked
- Copying and uploading files report the truth. A copy that failed for any reason said "source not found", the accurate error was overwritten by a generic one, and an upload reported a size it had never checked. Uploads now verify the file was fully written before saying so.
- A payload update that arrives damaged is rejected instead of being written over a working one at the next boot.
Recovery
- The console status no longer gets stuck. A cached health reading could be reused forever once the console got busy, which could pin the display to "boot loop" and keep restarting a console that was perfectly fine.
- Switching consoles no longer costs the new one its one automatic re-find, and a stalled install no longer blocks the next one.
Layout
- The sidebar is no longer clipped at the bottom, the storage warning no longer pushes the page off screen, the mobile menu button no longer covers content, table headers stay put while scrolling on a phone, chart labels are no longer stretched on a TV, and menus are no longer see-through.
Security
- The console's SMB browser can no longer be used to probe your network. It accepted any address and any port from anyone on the network; it now accepts only real SMB ports and refuses loopback and link-local addresses.
