Contribution-ready tooling and docs. No fingerprint data changed — the dataset still ships the same 5 measured profiles.

Dataset

  • 5 measured profiles: chrome, edge, firefox, safari, ios (TLS JA3/JA4 + HTTP/2 Akamai), measured via uTLS *_Auto templates against tls.peet.ws. Unchanged this release.

What's new

  • CONTRIBUTING.md — step-by-step on capturing a real fingerprint: the client (uTLS template or real browser), the reflector (tls.peet.ws/api/all), and exactly which fields map to which reflector output.
  • PR template (.github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md) — requires provenance (browser build, client, reflector, date) and confirms values are measured, not guessed.
  • validate.py — validates fingerprints.json against schema.json plus completeness and JA4/hash-format checks. Exits non-zero on bad data.
  • CI now runs validate.py on every push and pull request, so any new or edited entry is checked automatically before merge.
  • schema.json — adds optional source / measured provenance fields for new entries (existing data still validates).
  • README — entry-count badge, schema table, Python names() example, provenance policy, and a contributing section.
  • Fix: go.mod version normalized (1.22.5 → 1.22) so go build/go test run on current toolchains.

Verified green

go build ./..., go test ./..., python3 validate.py (schema OK, 5 browsers), and import fingerprint_db all pass; CI green on main.
