Release 1 brings a redesigned Jobber.it experience for discovering engineering roles, understanding search results, and keeping a shortlist.
- Two search modes: Find relevant roles with semantic Best matches, or explore every eligible live posting in All postings, with text search, numbered pagination, and newest or highest-salary sorting.
- Live search progress: Follow ranking stages as they happen, inspect actual counts and timings, stop a search, and reveal more results from the same ranked set.
- Shared filters: Narrow postings by workplace, seniority, experience, salary, posting age, and source. Switch salary displays between annual and monthly amounts.
- Job pages and saved jobs: Open dedicated posting pages, read requirements and responsibilities, and follow the original source to apply. Save postings in your browser; unavailable saved postings remain visible until removed.
- CV-assisted search: Add a PDF, TXT, or Markdown CV after consent, with your background kept separate from your current search goal. Files are parsed in the browser; extracted text is sent to the disclosed language-model provider for query rewriting. Shared links exclude CV content.
- Shareable searches: Copy links that preserve your typed query, filters, selected view, sorting, and catalogue page.
- Refreshed interface: Light and dark themes, responsive navigation, mobile filters, keyboard support, and clearer loading, empty, and error states.
- More transparency: New Ranking, Privacy, About, and GitHub-backed Changelog pages explain the product and its data handling.
- Backend improvements: PostgreSQL catalogue search, grouped posting reranking, per-client semantic-search limits, generated API contracts, and automatic database migrations before API deployment.
Saved jobs stay in the current browser and do not sync across devices. Match percentages are uncalibrated ranking scores, not hiring probabilities. Posting availability and extracted details should be checked against the original source.
