Quest APK Renamer 1.4.4

Version 1.4.4 adds automatic game updates and makes repeat installs safer and easier to understand.

Highlights

  • Automatic Library: Successful builds and verified installs save the original and renamed app
identities, installed version, managed OBB names, and exact signing key needed later.
  • Guided updates: Select a Library game, choose its newer APK or complete folder, and the app
restores the saved renamed ID and signing identity after checking the original package and signer.
  • No duplicate OBB buildup: Existing Quest OBBs are compared first. Identical data is reused,
changes are staged transactionally, and obsolete managed/versioned files are removed only after
    the complete update verifies successfully.
  • Automatic key backup: Settings can hold an optional default backup folder. New backups still
remain linked to the Library, and the app confirms the exact separate backup location.
  • Friendly output conflicts: If - Renamed already exists, choose to cancel, replace it through
the operating-system Trash, or use the next numbered folder such as - Renamed (2).
  • Cleaner interface: The Library is easier to scan, sidebar icons use the MIT-licensed Bootstrap
set, and navigation gaps remain visually unchanged while still being clickable.

Fixes and safety

  • The older-firmware patch preference no longer hides the current Dashboard readiness/error status.
  • Missing, changed, or mismatched Library signing keys block an update before any build starts.
  • OBB activation keeps rollback copies until the APK and expected OBB files have been verified.
  • Unknown files in the Quest OBB folder are preserved; cleanup targets only known managed files and
    package-matching versioned OBBs.

Use the tool only with APK/OBB bundles you own or are authorized to modify. Keep private signing-key
backups: Android requires the same signing identity for future updates.
