Quest APK Renamer 1.2.0 beta 1
Version 1.2.0 adds a guided interface, a full APK inspector, package-change
reports, known-signer recognition, and a smaller cross-platform release
runtime.
Highlights
- Follow a live Choose game → Confirm app ID → Build & install progress rail.
- See clear game-loaded, ID-ready, automatic-check, Quest connection, and
storage badges. - Use one-click
+a,.dev,.test,.qa, or custom package-ID presets. - Inspect Android SDK levels, ABIs, locales, OpenGL ES, components,
permissions, features, hashes, and APK structure. - Verify V1/V2/V3 signatures and review certificate subjects, issuers, and
fingerprints. - Recognize Quest APK Renamer, Meta/Oculus, Google, and Android Debug signing
identities through a reviewable local registry. - Preview every technical package reference that will change and see warnings
for references preserved in assets or native code. - Receive
RENAME-REPORT.txtandRENAME-REPORT.jsonwith file-by-file changes,
OBB mappings, hashes, and source/output signing provenance. - Queue several APKs or folders for sequential bulk builds and installs.
- Check for updates from the app and export a rotating persistent debug log.
- Keep drag-and-drop optional so an unsupported native backend cannot prevent
the app from launching.
Downloads
- Windows Setup EXE — recommended per-user Windows installation.
- Windows portable ZIP — unpack and run without installation.
- Apple Silicon DMG — for M1 and newer Macs.
- Intel DMG — for Intel-based Macs.
- Linux x86_64 archive — includes a per-user
install.sh. - SHA256SUMS files — integrity hashes for every platform download.
Every package includes ADB, Apktool, Uber APK Signer, native folder selection,
and a trimmed Java runtime.
Beta notes
- Linux is the primary hands-on development platform.
- Windows has partial hands-on testing; its automated tests and packaging run
on GitHub Actions. - macOS packaging is automated but still needs broader Apple Silicon and Intel
launch testing. - Windows packages are not code-signed, so SmartScreen may report an unknown
publisher. - macOS uses ad-hoc signing unless Developer ID and notarization credentials
are configured, so Gatekeeper may require Open Anyway. - This project was made 100% with AI assistance. Expect bugs, keep the original
game folders and signing-key backups, and use the app only with software you
own or are authorized to modify.
