[Setup]: Connecting Desktop (Windows and Mac) client to existing VPS Hermes instance

What's Going Wrong?

I downloaded the new desktop client on my Windows machine. I wanted to connect it to my existing remote Hermes instance running on a VPS. It seemed solely able to set up a new Hermes instance and not able to do this.

Steps Taken

1. Downloaded Windows desktop app
2. Opened it
3. Poked around looking for a way to remotely connect to an existing instance

Isn't this available in "Settings, Gateway, Remote Gateway" ?

Please share the step by step instructions for how I can access that without first installing Hermes locally (which I have zero desire to do on this machine). I do not believe it is possible with the current setup flow from the first time you open the app.

There needs to be some form of "Connect to existing remote installation" option added to the setup flow users are presented with upon first opening the desktop app.

Maintainer might want to consolidate or pick one as canonical.
