NOVA 0.3.1 corrects dependency ranges and package contents found during verification of the 0.3.0 release.

Changes

  • Require transformers~=5.10.0 in the optional semantic extra to exclude versions affected by CVE-2026-9856.
  • Update documentation dependencies to mkdocs~=1.6.1, mkdocs-material~=9.7.7, and pymdown-extensions~=11.0, excluding versions affected by CVE-2026-73295 and CVE-2026-61632.
  • Ship nova/sdk/README.md in both the source archive and wheel, fixing the missing-file metadata test failure in the source archive.
  • Require the SDK guide in artifact verification to catch future omissions.

Validation

All 151 tests pass in the checkout and extracted source archive. Python 3.10–3.13 CI, CodeQL, dependency audits, package verification, and isolated wheel/CLI smoke tests pass.

Installation

pip install --upgrade nova-hunting==0.3.1

For semantic matching:

pip install --upgrade 'nova-hunting[semantic]==0.3.1'

No changes to the detection engine, policy behavior, or public APIs. Python 3.10+ is required.
