Overview
This release updates both DataFeed and THtoCVR mods to work with ChilloutVR 2025r181,
which introduced significant breaking changes to the game's API.
All mods have been fully updated and tested with the latest version.
🎯 DataFeed
- ChilloutVR 2025r181 Support
- Full compatibility with ChilloutVR 2025r181's new API structure
Updated to work with the game's new data handling for avatars, worlds, and instances - All features restored including avatar/world metadata, author information, file sizes, and tags
🔧 Fixed: Browser Overlay Access (CORS Errors)
Problem: Users experienced "blocked by CORS policy" errors when trying to use browser-based
overlays (like the CVR-DataFeed-OBS-Overlay) to access the DataFeed API.
Solution:
- Implemented proper CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) support
- Added multi-host binding so the API works with all common connection methods:
- http://localhost:8080/
- http://127.0.0.1:8080/
- http://[::1]:8080/ (IPv6)
Result: Browser overlays now work reliably regardless of how they connect to the API.
Both file-based HTML overlays and local-hosted overlays function correctly.
🔍 Improved Data Accuracy
- Fixed missing author names on avatars and worlds
- Fixed missing platform-specific metadata (file sizes, update dates, tags)
- More robust handling of incomplete API responses
🌡️ THtoCVR
✨ New: Automatic Configuration Correction
The mod now automatically detects and fixes common configuration mistakes:
- Missing trailing slash on base URL automatically added
- Example: http://192.168.2.143 → http://192.168.2.143/
- Extra leading slashes on endpoints automatically removed
- Example: /temperature → temperature
Benefits:
- Eliminates common "connection failed" issues caused by URL formatting
- Config file is automatically corrected and saved when issues are detected
- Helpful warnings in logs show what was fixed
📊 Enhanced Logging
- More detailed HTTP request/response logging for troubleshooting
- Shows actual sensor values being received
- Displays animator parameter updates in real-time
- Makes it easier to diagnose connection or sensor data issues
