0.1.5 - Native GUI and multiplayer join fixes
Batch Request Combinator 0.1.5 refreshes the native GUI and fixes a pre-existing multiplayer-join recovery defect.
- Fixed native layout, larger entity preview, actual engine status and external Input/Output connection readouts.
- Persistent bottom-right Close alongside the titlebar X. Settings save immediately; both Close controls share cleanup.
- Output connection status ignores the exact owned hidden helper, so an externally unwired output no longer appears connected.
- Joining multiplayer no longer triggers peer-local drain recovery or GUI rebuilding. Confirmation scopes, inspector choices and diagnostic snapshots remain synchronized during joining and catch-up. Single-player reload recovery is preserved.
- English and French text updated. Diagnostic timing remains available through Print stats; saved snapshots retain deterministic counters.
This is an experimental release for Factorio 2.1. Base is required; Quality is optional. Storage schema 5 and the READY/COMPLETE circuit handshake remain unchanged. GUI schema 19 rebuilds older panels.
The full Ultra source review found the connection-reporting and multiplayer-join defects. Both were fixed and independently rechecked with no remaining material findings. Offline validation includes host-versus-loaded-peer regressions, single-player recovery, GUI lifecycle/confirmation checks, portable source tests, public regression tests and exporter tests.
The user accepted the earlier shown window and both Close controls in a source-linked Factorio 2.1.17 session, English, 1920x1080, UI scale 1, with zero Factorio Error/Warning severity entries. That acceptance predates the later corrections. The preceding 0.1.4 gameplay baseline passed 17 native runtime scenarios and six Debug Lab scenarios.
No exact 0.1.5 release-ZIP Factorio run or native two-peer test is recorded. Other native GUI states, long-content scrolling, setup lifecycle, additional locales/scales, active save/reload and upgrade, robot-overdelivery edge cases and matched large-factory performance remain unverified. Back up important saves and test in a safe setup first.
The attached ZIP is the mod release package. Portal upload and AppData deployment have not been performed.
Package: batch-request-combinator_0.1.5.zip — 40 source-exact files, SHA-256 92fcf9842c7703cb25fa30d3c29a5d15e7cc77e45c18f7a062ba95b00a782221. Source commit: 6904cb976d42ecddc62087a124275b32ff6b3ecd. Final offline checks pass: 17 pure harnesses, 28 Lua syntax files, two PowerShell verifiers, 267 locale keys/language, 440 source guards, 96/96 exporter tests with zero skips, and 29 regenerated screen previews.
0.1.4
Batch Request Combinator 0.1.4 fixes requester-capacity validation and improves recovery without changing successful batch quantities, modes, or READY/COMPLETE behavior.
Changes
- Correctly count occupied filtered slots only when their exact item and quality filter matches their contents.
- Retry a failed temporary inserter stack-size restoration once per second while keeping loading safely disabled.
- Remove obsolete saved-state bookkeeping during migration.
Validation
- Factorio 2.1.17 runtime harness: all 17 cases passed in 1,307 ticks.
- Debug Lab 1.0.11: three clean 44-entity rebuilds and all six guided cases passed by tick 1,989.
- Manual FMTK review: accepted in English at 1920×1080 and 100% UI scale.
- Offline regression suite: all five Lua suites, syntax checks for 28 Lua files, and English/French locale parity passed.
The final ZIP changes only README and changelog validation text from the tested archive; all 38 other package entries are byte-identical.
This release remains experimental. Active-batch save/reload and upgrade recovery, native robot-overdelivery edge cases, multiplayer, additional locales and UI scales, and matched large-factory performance profiles remain open.

0.1.3
Fixes inserter setup and interrupted cleanup, and reduces wasted Single-tail planning work. Normal batch quantities, modes, and READY/COMPLETE timing remain unchanged.
Fixes and improvements
- Inserter setup correctly disables input colors that are not connected to the combinator.
- Surviving drain targets retain verifiable restoration snapshots when another saved target disappears or has conflicting recovery data.
- Owned requester sections initialize and verify multiplier 1, preventing silent quantity changes.
- Each blocked cleanup record keeps its own persistent retry deadline, allowing unrelated recovery to continue.
- Single-tail planning prunes mathematically impossible paths sooner while preserving the allocation policy and existing search budget.
- Consolidated duplicate validation and cleanup code and removed unused state.
Validation
- All five offline test scripts passed, including setup/rollback, request ownership/reconciliation, drain recovery, planner regressions, and batch transitions.
- Syntax checks passed for 28 product Lua files; English/French locale parity passed for 263 keys per language.
- Planner results matched the previous implementation in 1,200 comparison cases.
- The maintainer manually tested the gameplay code through FMTK in Factorio 2.1.17 at English 1920×1080 and 100% UI scale and reported no issues. The session log recorded no Factorio Warning/Error severity lines or matching mod runtime errors, and a normal exit.
- The manually tested candidate was labeled 0.1.2. This release changes only version metadata and documentation from that candidate's packaged gameplay code.
Automated in-game harnesses were not run for this update. Save/reload recovery, native robot-overdelivery edge cases, multiplayer, other languages/UI scales, and large-factory UPS remain unverified for this version. This remains an experimental mod for Factorio 2.1; Base is required and Quality is optional.

0.1.2
Highlights
- Added Review inserter setup…, which previews the eligible-inserter count and applies the standard
READY > 0configuration only after confirmation. - Single requires exactly one eligible inserter per requester chest; Parallel and No-tail accept multiple inserters.
- Added active ownership and stale-preview protection, plus checked restoration if a configuration write fails.
- Added retry backoff for blocked cleanup work without slowing cleanup that can complete.
- Added a centered Factorio-style confirmation dialog with consistent button text sizing.
Validation
- The complete offline regression suite passed: 28 product Lua files, 19 runtime modules, 16 pure behavior harnesses, 263 locale keys per language, and 409 static architecture guards.
- The gameplay and UI were validated in Factorio 2.1.17 at 1920×1080 and 100% UI scale. The final archive has no gameplay change from that validated candidate.
- All 40 packaged files match the source at commit
c4be80118e52f5bd786c9e477d24d71843dfb43a. - Broader save/reload, robot-overdelivery, multiplayer, other languages and UI scales, more factory layouts, and large-factory performance testing is still in progress.
Compatibility
- Factorio 2.1
- Base required; Quality optional
- Experimental release; multiplayer has not yet been validated
