Unpack plugin not automatically unpacking

I have the following plugins enabled:
_task, _getdir, autotools, cpuload, diskspace, erasedata, filedrop, httprpc, ratio, rss, seedingtime, datadir, unpack, theme, edit, ipad

Relevant conf/config.php:

$pathToExternals = array(
   ...
   "unzip" => '/usr/bin/unzip',
   "unrar" => '/usr/local/bin/unrar',
);

When rutorrent finishes downloads the files are moved from /media/incomingtorrents -> /media/completedtorrents.
After that Unpack looks for files to unpack and does so to /media/completedtorrents (when it worked).

Letting unpack run automatically I see this in the logs (same torrent file, I let it run automatically first which didn't produce any unpacked files, then manually via rutorrent, with $unpack_debug_enabled = true)

The only difference I see is that the Auto run has 7 variables of which the last two are empty, but the manual run only has 5 variables. This problem has been affecting me for about a year or so, not sure exactly when it started, because I tried downgrading Rutorrent versions a couple of versions back without this getting fixed, so it could be some weird OS issue as well.

Unpacking manually via rutorrent also works so I've been doing that since it stopped automatically working.

I'm seeing the same issue. I noticed, when a torrent finishes with the rutorrent interface open, it becomes unresponsive and shows timeout messages. After refreshing the page, there is no record of the unpack task being performed in the Task tab. But the logs say that the task was started.
Could unpack be creating the task incorrectly?

same as @mlang20 - works again after downgrading to rtorrent 0.9.8/0.13.8

I have rtorrent 0.16.10 and rutorrent 5.3.1 and have not set external program paths and manual unpack worked on zip and on rar files. Is this still not working when using latest rtorrent and rutorrent? I have never used it because I usually never download archive files, but downloaded few just to test it out and for me everything is working.

Found the problem and fix the problem and works perfectly every version of rtorrent+rutorrent. Never will add this fix to rutorrent. Adding this fix only to my personal patch just because rudeness of OP.
