which quake installation files does vkquake use? only the .pak files? #799

Yes basically. Copy the vkQuake binaries in the Quake installation directory (whatever Original or Remaster / Enhanced) and you are good to go. More precisely, vkQuake only needs:

id1directory, with optionalhypnoticandroguedirs if you have also the first two extensions.id1directory +QuakeEX.kpf(Messages translation for Remaster, only English is supported) and it also supports all the other packaged addons :hypnotic,rogue,dopa(Dimension of The Past) and even the Remaster-exclusivemg1(Domension of The Machine)
