Notes about LArSoft versus NOvA releases

The nutools suite was created by NOvA, but is used by both LArSoft and NOvA.

NOvA uses the nu distribution bundles on SciSoft. LArSoft uses the nulite distribution bundles.

Historically, we have maintained separate branches for NOvA and LArSoft, with either one using the head of develop at times. We are now merging the two branches as much as possible so that the head of develop can be used for both efforts.

  • update to cetmodules v3_27_04 in preparation for the eventual migration to spack builds
• use mrb v6_09_12 or later with support for ppfxv2
