Repository navigation
Git Graph Modern now renders long histories within the viewport and adds repository-wide fzf search, rename-aware file history, worktrees, visual linear rebase plans, conflict controls, and graph layout tools.
The UI follows VS Code workbench controls and the active theme. This release also updates existing Git action dialogs and repository settings, fixes unreadable error messages, preserves keyboard Cancel behavior, and keeps Find and conflict paths usable in narrow editor panes.
- Search full history with fuzzy, exact, or regex matching and author, date, and file filters.
- Create, open, and safely remove worktrees.
- Reorder linear rebase ranges of 1–500 commits; choose pick, reword, edit, squash, fixup, or drop. Merge-containing ranges retain the terminal workflow.
- Open VS Code's merge editor, stage resolved files, and continue or abort Git operations.
- Collapse linear history, pin branch lanes, and highlight selected ancestry.
Verified with 1,320 unit and real-Git tests, an extracted VSIX in stable VS Code 1.141.0, repository workflow checks, and five themes including the maintainer's theme. The visual review covered the graph, details and comparisons, code review, menus, search, file history, worktrees, rebase, layout, and a 50-state Git action/settings dialog catalog.
Install from the VS Code Marketplace as nulifyer.git-graph-modern, or download the VSIX below and run:
code --install-extension ./git-graph-modern-1.32.3.vsix --forceThe release workflow verifies the package, attaches the VSIX and SHA-256 checksum, then publishes that same package to Marketplace.
