v1.7.0 — Black screen fix + plain English errors

Fixed

  • BUG-010: Black screen on some IPTV channels — Shaka Player now correctly detects raw TS/MP4 stream formats, HLS date-time sync is enabled, and video element errors are caught and shown to users.
  • Faster failure feedback — Streams that won't play now fail in 15s instead of 30s, with a clear error message.
  • Reconnect limit — Stops retrying after 3 attempts and shows a clear message instead of looping forever.

Changed

  • All error messages rewritten in plain English — No more technical jargon. Users now see messages like "This channel could not play" instead of "MediaError code 2003".

Install

Download the .wgt file and install via:
