This is the Wiki for the GAS-TargetLocking Plugin.
In here you find quick reference to all classes, their members and direct links to unreal docs and the benui website (for UPROPERTY references).

How does it work

The Ability requires the "Gameplay Ability System", short GAS, to be active in the plugin section and addition to this plugin or its source. I will show how it works based off of the example in the project given. The Player owns an "Ability System Component" (ASC) and receives the ability during BeginPlay. Now that he owns the ability he can run it whenever needed. Once the tab button, here just made using a debug key. The ability is run through the ASC, this ability runs the task which then tries to find a target with the information from the configuration of the ability.

Why does the ability run a task for it's functionality? Simply because the ability itself does not tick. I need the tick for the rotation to be smooth so I need either the ability to tick or something else that runs while my ability is running.

I decided to use a Gameplay Task, why? No reason really, I could've used a Latent Action or an ASync Task just as well and I would've accomplished the same thing but I decided to use the Gameplay Task because I haven't used it before. In this Plugin there is also a Target Lock Latent Action, I could've used that instead.
GameplayTasks have the benefit of being very easily setup and their generated blueprint nodes handle all the Delegates you've set up without requiring any modification to the parameters or UPROPERTY specifiers.
