Install or update on Windows x64 with Node.js 22 or newer:

npx dumptotxt@latest

Or install the launcher globally:

npm install -g dumptotxt
dumptotxt

The launcher downloads the Full installer, verifies its SHA-256, and opens setup with administrator approval. For an existing installation, choose Update or reinstall. Full includes its runtime; Compact requires .NET 8 Desktop Runtime x64; Lite supports Classic text only.

These installers are unsigned. Windows may display an unknown publisher or SmartScreen prompt. Downloads are proprietary / all rights reserved. SHA256SUMS.txt identifies the exact release assets.

This release fixes Windows scaling and respects reduced-motion settings. Installation, maintenance, uninstall, and native UI checks were exercised in a Windows VM. Audible verification was unavailable because that VM had no audio device; XML export was validated, but its default viewer association was not configured. See docs/releases/v2.0.0-windows-acceptance.md in the source repository for the evidence and its limits.
