🔬 Backtest — a Real Chart Replay Dashboard

One Manual / Chart Replay toggle switches the whole tab. Each Chart Replay session tests one strategy, chosen from a dropdown. The new dashboard measures everything in R: expectancy, profit factor, drawdown, streaks, equity and drawdown charts, strategy comparison, session list with Resume / Rename / Delete, weekday / time / session breakdowns, insights and a fuller trade log. The 🎯 RR Optimizer shows what 1:1 to 1:10 targets would have done on the same trades, and a 🖼 Result Poster shares the result. Manual mode got the same dashboard, and its trade form now checks Direction / SL / TP and cannot double-save.

⚖️ Chart Replay — Risk-% Lot Sizing

Pick a risk of 0.25 / 0.5 / 0.75 / 1% and the lot is calculated from the Entry-to-SL distance, rounded down so your risk never goes above your choice. A Stop Loss is now required. The lot is locked at entry, so moving the SL to break-even later does not change it. Optional "Compound the risk" per session, and a new By Risk per Trade card in the Backtest dashboard.

📦 Chart Replay — Chart Data Backup and 1m Gate

Chart Replay Setup → 📦 Chart Data shows every candle saved on this computer. Export the 1m data to one file, import it on another computer, or delete it. With data saved or imported, Chart Replay opens those dates without a Twelve Data key. Loading a new range above 1m now asks whether to fetch 1m first, because every bigger timeframe is built from it. Lines drawn on a bigger timeframe now keep the exact minute. 📷 also got Copy image.

🎯 5 Built-in Strategy Models

London Reversal, NY Trap Reversal, SMT London Continuation, SMT NY Continuation and SMT Continuation (Asia Liquidity Variant) now have a full Overview in sections, numbered rules and a checklist. London Reversal explains the level and its 3 traps (Break & Test, Trendline, Smart Money Trap) exactly. A strategy you edited yourself is never overwritten. The six KF strategies and the Gold Asia variant are no longer built in; a copy you edited stays as your own strategy.

🧭 Strategy Examples and Full Page Viewer

Each built-in strategy has an Examples tab with 8 step-by-step picture examples (valid Buy and Sell, each trap, and the cases to skip). Step through with the arrows or Play. Click an example for a full page view: ← → change step, Space plays or pauses, ↑ ↓ change example, Esc closes. The prices in the pictures are illustrations only.

🖼 Strategy Poster

Make a shareable poster of a whole strategy as a Story or Instagram feed image: cover and overview, rules, checklist and the example pages. It uses your saved strategy text, so an edited strategy gives an edited poster.

🔴 Screen Recording

The Strategy, Trade and Back Test poster windows each have their own Record button. While recording, dropdowns, date, time and colour pickers and confirm boxes open inside the app so they appear in the video. A floating 🔴 button shows when the sidebar is hidden.

🐞 Bug Fixes

A trade can no longer be saved twice if you step quickly while it closes in Chart Replay. Lines and open-trade zones drawn on one timeframe now show on every timeframe.

🎯 6 KF Strategies — Built In

KF-S1 to KF-S6 (BSL/SSL sweep, inducement, FVG limit, Fib OTE limit, engulf) now come ready in the Strategies page with their rules, checklist and notes already filled in — no more typing them. They are added once: edit them freely, or delete any you don't use and it will not come back.

🕒 Session Tags Follow Your Session Schedule

Trades placed in Chart Replay are now tagged using Session Settings — its times and its timezone, daylight saving included — instead of fixed UTC hours. New sessions: Pre-London, Pre-NY and Other (outside every session). A one-click KF preset fills Asia, Pre-London, London, Pre-NY and NY in Europe/London time. The new sessions also appear in the Journal, Backtest filters and dashboards.

☑️ Checklist Tick Boxes in Chart Replay

The selected strategy's checklist now appears as optional tick boxes in the order and open-position panels. The ticks are saved with the trade, so you can see later which trades followed the full checklist.

⏩ Speed Slider (0.05x – 16x)

The speed dropdown is now a volume-style slider with snapped steps, changeable mid-playback. Double-click it to return to 1x.

📏 Fixed Candle Width

Candles keep the same width while a replay plays and no longer shrink as the chart fills. Reset view, Reset and Jump return to this view.

💾 Session Schedule in SQLite and Backup

The session schedule is now stored in the SQLite database and included in the full JSON backup, and is restored with it.

🗓️ Routine — Timeline Reworked

The Timeline now shows when things happened: a ticked habit appears at the time you did it, and each ticked habit has a time box so you can change it. Go to a past day with ← to log it with the correct time. A new Clear day button unticks a whole day. Only hours that have something are listed.

🛠️ Routine — Safer Saving

Diary and Finance can no longer be overwritten when a read fails or when you switch days quickly, and failed saves now show a warning instead of failing silently. Reminders are now included in the backup. The streak no longer drops to 0 every morning before you finish today's habits, and adding a new habit no longer breaks old streaks. Checklist, Timeline and Diary roll over to the new day at midnight, and habits timed before 5 AM are no longer hidden.

🐞 Bug Fixes

Restoring a backup now fills in missing diary, mood and habit data on days that were already partly logged, without overwriting anything. A reminder saved after its time has passed no longer pops up immediately. The Diary review percentage no longer skips empty days.

📖 Rules & Notes in the Checklist

Selecting a strategy on the Trade Journal page now shows a collapsible Rules & Notes panel beside the checklist — that strategy's full notes, right where you're ticking off conditions, with no need to jump to the Strategies page mid-trade.

💾 Full Backup — Now Actually Everything

⬇ Export All now also includes Trade Plans, Reviews, Routine/Diary/Habits, Personal Finance entries, Calculator history, and Chart Replay sessions with their trades and drawings. Restoring a backup onto a different computer correctly reconnects a Chart Replay session to its own trades and drawings instead of losing the link — built for real laptop-to-laptop migration, not just same-machine recovery.

📈 Chart Replay — Limit & Stop Orders

The old instant Buy here/Sell here buttons are now one "📈 Trade" button that opens a single order panel — pick Market, Limit (wait for a better price), or Stop (wait for a breakout), with Trigger/SL/TP all pre-filled the instant you choose and draggable right on the chart. A pending Limit/Stop only becomes a real trade the moment price actually reaches it — no more manually dragging an already-open position's entry to fake a "wait for this level" setup.

⚠️ Missed-Opportunity Tracking

A Limit/Stop order with a TP set that price reaches without ever filling your entry now gets logged as a "missed" trade in the journal — a genuine missed win worth learning from, not silently discarded.

📊 Win Rate by Order Type

The Backtest tab's Chart Replay view now breaks down win rate, trade count, and P&L separately for Market, Limit, and Stop entries — see whether waiting for a level actually pays off for your strategy.

🌀 Fibonacci — Fully Custom Levels

Every Fibonacci level is now an editable number, not a fixed set — add your own ratios (ICT-style Standard Deviation levels like -1/0/1/1.5, for example), remove ones you don't use, and check/uncheck any level to hide it without losing its value or color.

⏪ Chart Replay — Step Back

A new Step Back button lets you review the previous bar without a full Reset to the start. It only ever rewinds the chart itself — same as TradingView's own Bar Replay, an open position or an already-journaled trade is never undone just because the cursor moved back.

📋 Session Breakdown — Now a Table

The Report's Session Breakdown switched from a card grid to a table matching the Analytics page's own Session Table, and both Global and Indian markets now share one unified session-matching path instead of two separate implementations quietly drifting apart.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Fixed an overnight session (like Asia) rendering as two separate/overlapping boxes instead of one continuous session; candles visibly compressing smaller the longer Play ran; manually closing a position not pausing Play the way an automatic SL/TP hit always did; Horizontal Line/Vertical Line/Trend Line's text-alignment options not actually moving the label (only Ray worked before); Trade Lab now opens straight to the Backtest tab instead of Plan; and Routine habit/finance-entry delete confirmations that silently did nothing when clicked.

🐛 Fixed — Patch Release

This is a stability patch on top of 2.7.0 — no new features, several important fixes for issues found after that release.

🔴 App crashing on Dashboard / Account Analytics / Trade Log

A small number of accounts created before this fix had a data-key issue that could crash these pages. Fixed at the source, and the app now automatically repairs any affected account the first time you open 2.7.1 — you'll see a one-time "✅ Fixed a data-key issue" notification if this applied to you. A full backup is saved automatically before anything is touched.

🔴 Occasional app-wide crashes ("Cannot read properties of undefined")

Traced to an overly-aggressive setting in how the app is packaged — hardened the build process so this class of crash can't happen again.

🎥 Screen Recording freezing with narration on

Recording with the 🎤 microphone toggle on used to freeze the app. Fixed — recording with narration now works reliably.

📼 Chart Replay — Record button now reachable in fullscreen

Screen Recording's button lived only in the sidebar, which is hidden while Chart Replay is fullscreen — there was no way to start a recording from inside a replay session. A second Record button now lives right in Chart Replay's own toolbar, next to the screenshot icon.

📊 Chart Replay — live P&L while dragging a position's entry line

Dragging an open position's Entry line updated the price correctly, but the floating P&L next to it didn't refresh until you pressed Play/Step — looked like your edit was being ignored even though it wasn't. Fixed: P&L now updates live while you drag.

The Trade Lab → Backtest tab now has a new Chart Replay mode alongside Manual entry. Instead of filling in a static form, you can replay real historical candles bar-by-bar and place trades live as the chart plays — much closer to trading in real time than backtesting after the fact.

🔑 Twelve Data API Integration
Chart Replay is powered by the free Twelve Data API (no credit card required). Add your key once from the 🔑 API Key button in the Backtest tab — it's stored locally on your device and sent directly to Twelve Data when fetching, never through any other server.

▶️ Full Playback Controls
Play/Pause, Step (single bar), and 1x–8x speed, plus Reset (back to start) and Jump-to-date (seek within already-loaded data) — all changeable mid-playback without interrupting the replay.

📈📉 Instant Trade Entry Mid-Replay
Buy here / Sell here open a position instantly at the current bar's close — no modal. A floating position panel shows live P&L, inline SL/TP, and Partial Close / Close Now, with automatic SL/TP detection as a fallback safety net.

Major FX pairs, common cross pairs, metals (XAU/USD, XAG/USD), WTI crude, and three US indices (US30, US100, US500) — across 1m/5m/15m/30m/1h/4h/D timeframes. NSE/BSE/MCX instruments are not yet supported via Twelve Data.

💾 Smart Caching & Quota Protection
Every fetched candle is cached locally per calendar day, so reloading an overlapping date range never re-downloads what's already there. The free-tier daily cap (800 calls/day) is tracked automatically, with a confirmation prompt before any fetch that would use more than 40% of your remaining quota.

This release adds the Chart Replay Backtest feature and its Twelve Data API integration, plus the corresponding User Guide documentation and a version bump to 2.4.0. No changes were made to the Tax module, the Automatic Mentor, the Account Manager Daily Loss Rule, or any live trading/journaling feature. Both the Windows and macOS builds are unsigned, so you may see security warnings before running the application. This is expected for the current distribution method.
