What's new

  • ot mcp: an MCP server for AI agents (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Gemini CLI). It searches the registry, installs signed tools and runs them in the same sandbox as ot run, and asks you before any run that touches a target, goes online or involves a person. Set it up with ot mcp install <client>; see https://otinstaller.com/docs/agents. The .mcpb files below are MCP bundles of the same binary.
  • One JSON contract: --json (or OT_OUTPUT=json) on every command that prints data, and errors as one line of JSON on stderr. See https://otinstaller.com/docs/automation.
  • ot token for scoped API tokens, ot pivot for suggested next runs, and support for the new optional manifest fields.

Breaking change for scripts

Without a terminal (scripts, CI, an agent's shell), ot run, ot run --all, ot playbook and ot auto now stop with consent_required before running a tool that isn't passive. Add --yes to those commands, or set OT_CONSENT=off for scripts that don't need the check. Runs in a terminal are unchanged.
