Release list
Quakespasm VR 1.1.0
- Improve movement acknowledgement handling, reconciliation and VR room-scale collision handling to reduce intermittent corrections and sticky movement.
- Keep prediction for supported QBJ3 movement, with controlled handoff to QuakeC for ladders and other mod-specific movement, then resume prediction when safe.
- Preserve co-op inventory, upgrades and progression across saves, death, reconnects and hub returns.
- Add experimental spatial voice chat with local microphone consent, remembered settings and headset microphone selection. Correct Beyond headset recognition and microphone HUD visibility.
- Fix VR head tracking, teleport yaw and weapon-wheel action hitboxes, with additional mod compatibility fixes.
Built from commit 0528925a (QuakeSpasm baseline 0.96.3).
Supply your legally obtained Quake id1 data and desired mods; game data, mods, saves and configuration files are not included.
Linux requires system SDL2/OpenGL/curl/audio libraries and a VR runtime for VR play. Both Linux packages include their OpenVR/JsonCpp libraries and stay within the GLIBC 2.39 ceiling. The ARM64 package is checked on native ARM64 hardware; Steam Frame headset operation and performance have not been tested.

Installation
Download quakespasm-openvr-1.0.0.zip and extract its single top-level directory into a Quake installation containing your legally obtained id1 game data. The directory contains both platform executables and runtime libraries; use quakespasm-openvr.exe on Windows or quakespasm-openvr.bin on Linux.
