This release adds eight shadcn components to the public V2 catalog: Button
Group, Combobox, Dialog, Empty, Field, Input Group, Spinner, and Tooltip.

ui.combobox supports searchable single or multiple selection and returns the
original Python values. ui.input_group composes validated prefix, suffix,
icon, clear, and copy addons around the generated Input. Both are also
available as stateful Elements nodes.

Elements now supports Button Group, Dialog, Empty, Field Set, Field Group,
Field, Spinner, and Tooltip composition. Button accepts loading and help,
using the generated Spinner and Tooltip without changing the generated Button
defaults.

Behavior and accessibility

  • Combobox filtering stays in the browser. Selecting, removing, or clearing a
    value commits one Python update.
  • Input Group typing stays local until Enter or blur. Copying stays local;
    clear commits the empty value.
  • Dialog owns its overlay, focus trap, Escape behavior, and return focus inside
    the shared Elements ShadowRoot. A regular footer action can rerun Python
    while the dialog remains open.
  • Field connects labels, descriptions, errors, and supported controls through
    ARIA relationships.
  • Tooltip opens on pointer hover or keyboard focus, including a focusable
    wrapper for disabled actions.
  • Generated source comes from the pinned base-nova registry at shadcn commit
    705ce5961080264830471ddd885c01b907706068. The adapters add no cosmetic
    control overrides.

Verification

  • 89 Python tests and 356 subtests passed. The suite includes all documentation
    examples and release contracts.
  • 93 frontend unit tests passed. TypeScript, the production build, shadow CSS,
    generated-source, provenance, and import-boundary checks also passed.
  • 12 P0 browser tests passed in Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit. They cover
    isolated roots, overlays, focus, reruns, local drafts, clipboard behavior,
    RTL, tabs, sidebar placement, bounded containers, and a 390 px viewport.
  • A separate in-app browser run checked all eight documentation pages on
    desktop and mobile. The final browser console had no warnings or errors.
