GSonic Reference v1.0.25
What's new
-
Report.txt is now saved next to the filters. It lists the transition frequency, speaker roll-off, stereo balance and headroom, and shows how the left and right speakers sum at the listening position, band by band.
-
Bass Phase Alignment (optional, off by default, under Generate > Advanced). Lets the left and right bass arrive in phase at the listening position so mono bass does not cancel. Worth a try if Report.txt flags a cancellation in your room; leave it off otherwise.
Refinements
-
Phase correction now isolates the speaker from the room more precisely and steps back where the measurement cannot be trusted (deep notches, positions that disagree).
-
Bass correction is designed for the exported filter length, so the filter you load matches the intended correction more closely.
-
Exported filters are trimmed so they never exceed 0 dB at any frequency. Heavily limited tracks may still need a little headroom in your convolver, as before.
-
The measurement prompt now suggests placing the two side positions about an ear's width from the main position.
All platforms are affected equally.
