First open-source release.

Clyra ran as a hosted SaaS at useclyra.com from April through October 2026. The hosted product has been retired. The codebase continues here as free, self-hostable open source under Apache 2.0.

40-second overview

See the attached brag-v2.mp4 for a video walkthrough: reverse Terraform ingestion, MCP from Claude Desktop, blast-radius analysis, and the full prompt → diagram → cost → Terraform arc.

What's in the box

  • Prompt → diagram across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini. Bring your own key.
  • Reverse ingestion — paste a Terraform file, see the architecture graph.
  • MCP server at POST /mcp using the official Go SDK. reverse_from_iac tool registered in OSS builds.
  • 1,000+ component catalog across AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Cloudflare with locally vendored AWS + GCP SVG icons.
  • Cost estimation on the canvas, Well-Architected validation across 10 rule families, blast-radius analysis.
  • Session auth, Google + GitHub OAuth, Personal Access Tokens.
  • Cloud project storage backed by Postgres + optional S3-compatible storage.
  • Append-only migration ledger with advisory lock, standalone cmd/migrate runner.
  • Secret-pattern scrubber on the slog → Sentry handler.

Disabled by default (OSS build)

  • Managed Bedrock provider — kept in internal/provider/bedrock.go; a self-hoster can re-enable it with their own AWS credentials.
  • Paystack + Polar payment providers — code preserved for reference, not wired.
  • MCP generate_diagram tool — depends on managed AI.
  • Public landing-demo endpoint — short-circuits to a canned diagram.

Quick start

cp .env.example .env # fill in POSTGRES_URL + at least one LLM provider section
docker compose up -d postgres redis
go run ./cmd/server # http://localhost:8080

cd web
npm install
npm run build:catalog
npm run dev # http://localhost:3000

Then open http://localhost:3000, sign up, drop your OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini key in Settings → BYO keys, and start generating.
