@OdinKara OdinKara released this 08 Sep 14:04

Delete your own X posts, replies and reposts in bulk, from your own browser.

There is no server. No account to create, no API keys, no tokens to hand over, nothing uploaded. Surtr runs as a Manifest V3 side panel and does its work inside the x.com tab you are already signed in to, so the browser attaches your session cookie itself and the extension never handles a credential. A hosted tool cannot do this job without reading your timeline into its own logs and backups; Surtr has no second copy because there is nowhere to put one.

It walks all three timelines X splits your profile into: posts, reposts and replies. Each is reported separately, because a run can exhaust one cleanly and hit X's ~3,200-entry ceiling on another, and collapsing that into one verdict would hide it.

Scan, review, then delete. Scanning changes nothing. You get the matching items on screen with their full text and a link to each, plus JSON and CSV exports. Deleting requires a completed scan from the current session, unchanged filters, an explicit arm toggle, the exact item count typed in, and - the first time - five deletions you have checked by hand. Every one of those is re-checked inside the extension, not just in the panel. Deletion is permanent; neither Surtr nor X can undo it.

No build step. The zip below is the repository, byte for byte - no bundler, no minifier, nothing compiled. Read it before you run it; the README has an audit you can do in about five minutes.

Install: unzip somewhere permanent, open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions, enable Developer mode, Load unpacked, select the folder. Do not move it afterwards - an unpacked extension's ID comes from its absolute path.

Licensed AGPL-3.0.
