v0.1.0 — first release
The first public release of the Metroid Prime native port. Linux, Windows and
Android, all built from one commit (1270360d).
You need your own disc image. Metroid Prime (USA) v1.00, GM8E01 disc 0
revision 0. Nothing here contains any part of the game — no disc, no assets.

What works
Widescreen at 4:3, 16:9 or following the window, with the HUD spread to the
edges. Uncapped presentation over a fixed-rate simulation, so physics stays
console-accurate at any frame rate. Mouse and twin-stick aiming, a Controls tab
for rebinding, HD texture replacements including button prompts that follow the
input actually bound to each action, and an F1 debug overlay.
Randomizer — docs/RANDOMIZER.md. Archipelago multiworld over wss://
— docs/ARCHIPELAGO.md; OpenSSL is vendored and statically linked on Android,
so no trust store setup is needed.
Verified, and not
Built and tested in CI on Linux (GCC 14, Clang 18) and Windows (clang-cl); the
Windows job also launches the packaged executable and checks it reaches main.
The AppImage and Flatpak were installed and run here. The APK was installed and
played on an arm64 phone — it mounts the disc and reaches the landing site, with
the touch overlay.
Not verified: the Windows build has not been run by a person, and the touch
overlay's ergonomics on a particular screen size are unmeasured. Flathub
submission has no screenshots, because any screenshot of this game would be
Nintendo's.
Notes for Android
The APK is signed with a project release key. An app signed with one key cannot
be updated by one signed with another, so if you ever need to reinstall from
scratch, uninstall first — that also deletes your save. Keep the key; see
docs/RELEASING.md.
