ItemWorth v1.0.1 – GitHub Pages & Offline Installation Improvements

This maintenance release focuses on improving the deployment experience for ItemWorth and ensuring the installed Progressive Web App (PWA) works reliably when hosted on GitHub Pages.

What's Improved

  • Added automated deployment to GitHub Pages using GitHub Actions.

  • Corrected the PWA launch configuration for GitHub Pages deployments.

  • Resolved an issue that could cause the installed app to display a GitHub 404 page or an offline browser screen when launched without an internet connection.

  • Verified that newly installed versions of ItemWorth launch and function correctly while offline.

Verification

  • The following checks were completed before this release:

  • Successful production build

  • Successful PWA and service worker build

  • Successful GitHub Pages deployment

  • Live website verified

  • Installed PWA launch verified

  • Offline functionality verified

  • Existing inventory data and application functionality confirmed to remain fully compatible

Additional fixes

  • Corrected navigation links for the About, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Use pages when hosted on GitHub Pages.
  • Fixed "Back to ItemWorth" links so they return to the application correctly both online and offline.
  • Verified all public pages now function correctly within the installed PWA.
